Alex is a Founding Engineer at Vocina and a Researcher at Scarlatti. He leads user experience and evaluation, drawing on his research experience in data analytics and modelling to develop quantifiable metrics of success and striving to deliver intuitive, reliable, and performant conversational agents.

Outside of work, he is a passionate skier with dreams of touring the world’s sickest slopes, a big fan of the Black Caps, and dabbles in independent content creation.

Alex has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics and Bachelor of Science hons (first class) in Mathematics from The University of Auckland.
